Future of Sustainable Mobility

Each year more than 1 million people die in India due to air polution. For context, ~0.2 mn people have died in India due to COVID 19 till date. Burning of fossil fuels is the single largest contributor of pollution in India, of which road transportion is one of the largest contributors. Given the advent of the pandemic fueled with India’s burgeoning e-commerce industry, it is expected that the parcels will move more than people. The panel will discuss the future of sustainable mobility, and how adoption of EV/AVs is going to transform the logistics sector of India. We would be discussing a) solutions available to accelerate adoption of EVs; and b) the major constraints causing impediments in EV adoption. The panel would also discuss role of various stakeholders in the EV eco-system.
